A personal perspective
A life can look successful and still stop feeling like the life you want.
I know what it is like to build a successful life and still wonder whether it fits. I immigrated to Canada as an adult, rebuilt my professional life, spent nearly two decades in finance, and later returned to school to study counselling.
That path shaped my interest in the relationships between achievement, security, family expectations, identity, and wellbeing—and now informs my work with adults, couples, and families.
From finance to psychotherapy
Finance taught me about risk and security. Therapy taught me to ask what they mean.
Before entering psychotherapy, I spent nearly two decades working in finance. I learned how people and institutions think about risk, security, responsibility, uncertainty, and success.
Psychotherapy led me to ask what numbers alone cannot answer: What does this decision mean? What is it protecting? Whose expectations are present? What happens to the relationship when these needs cannot be spoken?
That combined perspective now informs my work with individuals, couples, and families.

Therapy and counselling services are provided within the scope of a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) under CRPO. Workshops and organizational programs are educational and facilitative—they are not a substitute for individual therapy, emergency care, legal advice, or formal financial planning.

Yvonne also supports youth engagement through Root & Rise Global Youth Alliance, a separate educational community initiative.
This is educational community work, not clinical care for minors, and it is distinct from RealHelp Therapy services.
